Attorney Akram AbuSharar is a member
of the State Bar of Michigan and admitted to
practice before the Michigan Supreme Court and
Federal Eastern Court of Michigan

He also worked extensively with
immigrants of different diversities and represented
them in different aspects of Immigration Law for
eight years. This year, Attorney Akram AbuSharar
joined our agency because he believed in our mission
to deliver great services to the community in light
of the increasing burdensome on immigrants to seek
private lawyers to represent them in immigration
needs. |

Vonna Fortner is a volunteer from SER, a
national nonprofit, community-based organization which
provides workers to nonprofit or government agencies. From a
varied background working for private companies and
government, this is her first year with nonprofits. Her
desire is to assist the community by providing information
about available services, such as MSI health insurance, and
other resources, to the low income and uninsured most in
need. In addition, her goal is in developing skills as a
grant writer and also to eventually become a board member
for a nonprofit agency.
Access
California Services extends its thanks and appreciation to
its former AmeriCorps volunteers for their hard work and
dedication throughout their years of service.
