The Emergency Financial Assistance and Zakat Program provides temporary emergency financial assistance to eligible individuals and families residing in Southern California.
The program’s goal is to help meet the basic needs of families and individuals while simultaneously assist them in attaining self-sufficiency through employment and personal responsibility. Financial assistance may be used for the following on a case-by-case basis:
- Rental assistance
- Gas vouchers
- Motel vouchers
- Food vouchers
- Prescription medication
- Bus passes
- Vocational training and tuition
Eligible individuals and families may receive a one-time payment of up to $200.00. Eligibility is based on guidelines and proof of documentation. This program is strictly community funded with limited availability. Pre-booked appointments are mandatory.
