Noor Alhuda Aljawad, MSW

Biography

Noor Alhuda Aljawad is the Mental Health Services Coordinator at Access. She grew up in California and proudly embraces her Iraqi heritage. Noor is passionate about providing mental health services to our community and so, in 2019, received her Master’s in Social Welfare from UC Berkeley.

She is a board member of an emerging Iraqi-American non-profit, the Spirit of Mesopotamia, which serves to provide educational opportunities to the community, as well as cultural and social activities for gathering and connection. Noor is also a member of the Iraqi Narratives Project, an oral history project that aims to document and archive the life experiences of Iraqis in diaspora.
