It’s that time of the year again to celebrate, welcome, and encourage our past and present refugees in Orange County! World Refugee Day is this Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Pearson Park Amphitheater in Anaheim.
World Refugee Day is always special for us at AccessCal. On this day, residents, community leaders, and many organizations gather to honor the 59.5 million refugees who have been forcibly displaced around the world. It’s a day where we can come together and celebrate the success of refugees and their contributions to this nation.
World Refugee Day is a fun event with activities for the entire family. It’s an opportunity to enjoy great food, diverse people, and lively entertainment. But most importantly, it’s an opportunity for us to applaud refugees who courageously manage to resettle, integrate, and eventually become citizens with great stories to share, strong values to uphold, valuable contributions to offer, and beautiful diversity to celebrate.
