Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam, which entails the transfer of wealth from the rich to the poor. Every sane adult Muslim who makes over a certain amount of money must donate 2.5% of their wealth to those in need. By contributing to AccessCal’s Emergency Financial Assistance and Zakat program, your money is directly used to provide immediate relief to underserved individuals and families.
